dc.description.abstractWorkability is a characteristic of the material/process system. The role of the material is measured by a simple test or tests and should be expressed in a quantitative form that is applicable universally. This measure is taken to be a basic property of the material composition and structure, and it reflects the macroscopic outcome of the micromechanisms of plastic flow perturbed by such inhomogeneities as voids, inclusions, and grain boundaries.
