Self-diffusion of gold, copper and aluminium has been investigated for single crystals treated under pressures of 0 to 10 kbars in a temperature range of 700 °C to 990 °C for copper and gold and 400-610 °C for aluminium. The influence of pressure on the coefficients and activation énergies for self-diffusion in these metals has been measured. The activation volumes obtained : 0.91 molar volume for copper, 0.72 for gold and 1.29 for aluminium are in good agreement with theory.en_US
