Experimental diffusion data in the literature were critically assessed to develop the diffusion mobility for the bcc phase of the Ti–Al–Cr system by means of a DICTRA-type (Diffusion Controlled Transformation) diffusion modeling. Good agreements were obtained from comprehensive comparisons made between the calculated and experimental diffusion coefficients. The developed diffusion mobility was further validated by appropriate prediction of interdiffusion behavior observed from diffusion couple experiments in the literature.

A contribution to the Ni-based mobility database: Fcc Ni–Fe–Ti ternary alloy
Zhong Zhou; Yajun Liu; Guang Sheng; Fuyue Lei; Zhitao KangIn order to establish a general Ni-based mobility database, diffusion couples for Ni–Fe–Ti ternary systems are prepared, all of which are annealed at 1573 K for 50 h. Interdiffusion coefficients are retrieved from the ... -

Examination of Ni-base superalloy diffusion couples containing multiphase regions
Campbell, Carelyn; Zhao, J-C; Henry, M. F. (2014-04-02)Four Ni-base superalloy diffusion couples with multiphase regions were studied. The diffusion couples contained single-phase (gamma ), two phase( gamma +MC carbide) and three-phase ( gamma + gamma prime+MC carbide) ...
