This specification covers high-loading rate adhesives that are purposed for structural and armor applications. Examples include composite armor systems and other up-armoring or applique’ systems. Adhesives bonding systems are classified based on room temperature single-lap-joint performance, hot/wet strength retention, elevated temperature strength retention, and longer term hot/wet fracture resistance.
